Green SmoothiesBasic Smoothie
2 cup spinach 1 cup frozen fruit blend or strawberries 1 tablespoon flax seeds or chia seeds 1 ripe banana 1 cup water 1 cup coconut milk or real juice Put all ingredients in order in your blender, then switch to High. Spinach is such a good green to start with, having such a mild taste. It hides well and is hardly noticed allowing the taste of the fruits to shine. I like to put it in a pretty glass, like a rose colored wine glass and a straw. Kickin' Smoothie 1 cups kale or 3 large bok choy leaves 1/2 frozen blueberries 1 cup frozen mango 1 ripe frozen banana 1 scoop V-shake or Trim Shake or 1 scoop DoTerra Protein Juice water to level of fruit Put all ingredients in order in your Vitamix and turn your dial up to 10, then switch to High. The veggies in this are stronger, so I used this amount to start eventually increased up to a full cup of kale. The berries give it such a pretty color, it looks so pretty in a pretty cup, with a sprig of mint out the top. This is a another of my favorites. |

Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium are all found in this refreshing vintage drink. It was used to clear the head during spring allergy season, and can be used as a sport drink replacement. This was commonly served on farms in the hot weather, and especially when haying to clear the respiratory system.
1/4 cup honey (or up to 1/2 cup for a sweeter beverage)
1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar
1 or 2 drops DoTerra ginger essential oil
6 cups water and ice
In a half gallon container, combine honey, vinegar and ginger. When mixed well, fill pitcher with water and ice.
Another variation is to use sugar in place of honey. The vinegar will dissolve the sugar nicely, so no need to heat it. Just mix well prior to adding water and ice.
